Between February 18th to 22nd  2009, LazyTown Live! is at the Alexandra Theatre. While on a New Year's Eve vacation, high school hoops star Troy and brainy Gabriella - two teens worlds apart - meet. During a karaoke contest they discover their love for singing and an interest in each other. After the vacation, Troy fins out that Gabriella is the new girl at his school. From November 26th 2008 to January 17th 2009, The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe can be seen at the Rep Theatre. Four young adventurers playing hide and seek in the country home of an old professor stumble upon an enchanted wardrobe that will take them to places they never dreamed of. Stepping through the wardrobe door, they are whisked into the spectacular parallel universe known as Narnia - a fairytale land of magical proportions where woodland animals talk and mythological creatures roam. The Old Rep, Birmingham
From November 12th 2008 to Januray 24th 2009, Why The Whales Came are at the Old Rep Theatre. Gracie and her friend Daniel live on the Isles of Scilly. They love playing on the beach but have been warned to keep away from the mysterious person the villagers call the Birdman. When the children get stranded on the abandoned island of Samson, only the Birdman can explain the real reason for the curse that has troubled the islanders. The MAC, Birmingham
 
mac closed to the public on April 6th 2007 so that work on the mac and sampad's £13.5million building project could begin. A small team remain behind to work towards the re-opening in autumn , when we look forward to welcoming you back to a refurbished building with better facilities, more exhibition spaces, an extra rehearsal and performance space, an improved main house theatre and improved access for everyone. Jointly funded by Arts Council England, Birmingham City Council and a mac and sampad fundraising campaign, the development will dramatically improve and update the arts centre, creating a more effective and efficient arts centre. Through this website, you will be able to keep up to date with all of the developments regarding the building project as they happen, and as we move towards , here is where you will find details of our 'curtain raising ' events in and around Cannon Hill Park in summer , and our dynamic launch season of events, exhibitions and courses in autumn .
